WELCOME: Rest Haven Lodge is a 73 bed Long Term Care facility located in the town of Sidney, BC. We are affiliated and regulated through Island Health.
To foster an environment that CARES for the people we serve.
Our Mode of Operation:
We endeavour to accomplish our mission by living out the following core values represented by each letter in the word CARES.
At Rest Haven Lodge our core values provide a framework for all strategy and decision making. They are the standards that determine how we provide care to the people we serve, work with one another, and interact with our community.
Vision: We see the RHL caregivers responding to the needs of the whole person: body, mind and spirit. We see a hospitable environment conducive to healing, comfort, privacy, dignity, and cleanliness.
Vision: We see structures of organization, communication, and transparency that maximize the use of funding in an atmosphere of collaboration.
Vision: We see a cheerful work environment that promotes courtesy and respect for our residents and care givers.
Vision: We see an expectation of, and provision for, competence. We see adherence to the professional and organizational standards of Accreditation Canada. We see mechanisms of accountability in place that evaluates quarterly and improves, where necessary, our organizational systems and structures to insure that we live out our core values.
Vision: We see policies and procedures in place that insure the physical safety of the residents and caregivers.
These values, when lived out through the implementation of action plans, will accomplish our mission to foster an environment that CARES for the people we serve.
